A practical take on sustainability: turning an advertisement into bags
Sustainability starts with small steps. And that applies to CALOSTAT® too, of course
Not only can the insulating material be recycled—Evonik has now recycled its CALOSTAT® billboard as well. In collaboration with Behinderten-Werk Main-Kinzig e.V. (BWMK), a local advocacy group and employment center for disabled people, the company took a large billboard that had been torn off of its base by the wind and had it recycled into bags.
Evonik donated the material, and employees at BWMK used it to sew bags that were sold in Gelnhausen, with proceeds going toward BWMK. A short video describes this pro bono project and how an advertisement was transformed into bags (german language).
